The number of passengers

Age of a person

It is mandatory for those who want to ride a jetski to be older than 18 years. However, younger passengers older than twelve can ride with a guardian. As the stand-up model can be challenging to use by two people, especially a child who will not hold on sufficiently, there is a greater risk of falling overboard. 

Nearly all jetski rental companies in Dubai would recommend the sit-down model instead. It is more suitable to carry two or more passengers, and as the position of sitting down is more stable than standing up, a child will be safer.  

Willingness to do tricks

If a person wants to do jetski tricks, while both models can do swift and impressive maneuvers. In that case, the stand-up model provides a person with much more flexibility and control. A person can adjust the position of their body to get tighter turns at high speeds or higher jumps on wakes or waves. They can also perform donuts with ease. 

While sit-down models can perform tricks, they are more limited because a person will not adjust their body freely while sitting down. If they choose to stand up, they will have some flexibility, but they will need to move their legs from one side of the ski to another to achieve sharper turns. Moreover, at high speeds, this can be not easy.
